a.j. creations ceramic and blown glass housewares

I am thrilled by this new find. A.J. Creations is born when the ceramist Amélie Lucier and the blown glass artist Julien Mongeau decided to unite the two materials to make beautiful everyday housewares.

The results are design products with an attractive tension between the materials. The bold color glass opposes pure white ceramic.

I cannot tell you more at the moment. A.J. Creations' products are supposed to be available at Les Touilleurs, a kitchen store for foodies that I adore. I will go check them out next week.

Christmas Shopping

They also exposed until December 20 at Bure & Linon. The public can visit Bure & Linon:

  • Thursday and Friday from 1 PM to 6 PM and
  • Saturday from 11 AM to 5 PM.

You will find them at Salon des métiers d'art du Québec at Place Bonaventure from December 5 to 21, 2008. The Salon des métiers d'art du Québec is a popular stop for Christmas shopping in Montreal.

Update: I want to thank Josyan McGregor for finding at the shop of the Art Gallery of Ontario the price of the mortar and pestle set. I appreciate your help.
